Tie Dye Diva Pattern---Peek A Book Skirt..

This Peek A Boo Skirt pattern from THE Tie Dye Diva is an easy one (would love to get my hands on her Tie Dye tutorials...waiting on a sale). If I had the time, I could whip up quite a few cute little skirts. Wish I had some girly girls in my home to sew for....guess I will settle for friends who order! My boys will get shirts and shorts, instead!

I made this one for a friend/customer! She/they heart doxies. While shopping for fabric one day, I came across this cute cute little cotton print. I knew I needed to make something cute out of it for them. At the time, we planned on some pants. But we went with a skirt when I finally got my rear in gear (6 months later). I love how it came out, though I wish I had found the "peek a-boo" fabric that I really wanted--little bones or paws on black fabric. Would have been much cuter, I think!

Now to get working on a shirt to go with...

Don't forget that you can order one for your little sweetie too!

Drafting My Own Pattern

I loved, love rompers! There is just something so sweet about a little boy in a romper. The other day I found a romper on clearance at my local discount clothing store. When I saw it, I knew immediately I wanted to make my own pattern utilizing a much cuter material. So off to the register with a few other purchases. Later in the week I found the perfect cotton print at Joanns. We were celebrating my youngest son's birthday with family and friends with a puppy dog theme. The material I found was a light blue with little puppies all over it! Loved it! Loved it so much I had bought some of the same print in flannel months ago! Guess I forgot! So off to the register I went with a few other purchases!

At home I worked up a pattern based on the romper I had bought, started cutting and sewing it up, and a day later-my son's romper was complete. The project would have been finished that day had I not had to buy more snaps. Why don't they sell a larger amount of snaps?

Can't wait to start the next one. It should go a lot faster with one behind me, and lucky for me and my compulsion to buy fabric when I see something I like, I already have some cute fabric each to go. But first, I have a skirt and a few shirts to make!

Keeping up Shop

It is difficult juggling a full time working schedule, raising two boys, being a devoted wife, and running a business on the side! The one that usually suffers is the latter. For years my website has been up and going with online orders being made, but a year or so a major hack into the store caused me to have to limit the stores shopping ability. I need more know-how to run the technology side!

So, those of you who have googled "Swaddledbleesings" or visited the website have found it non-existent. No worries...you can still find me on Facebook as well as on this blog! For now, I am limiting orders to locally, though if you see something you'd like then let me know! Shoot me an email and we'll get down to business! I know for now that postings will be sporadic, so if you are looking for something specific or need a gift idea go to my photo album here: Swaddled Blessings Photo Album

Thanks for your support and happy window shopping!
